Anita Martinez was a granddaughter of Maria Martinez and a daughter of Santana & Adam Martinez. She was the mother of noted potter Barbara Gonzales. She was known for her plainware and painted pottery and won numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market, Gallup Ceremonials and other events.
