Pauline Martinez is a daughter of noted potter Cresencia Tafoya (1918-99) and a sister of Harriet Tafoya, Annie Baca, and Mark Tafoya. Although she was born at Santa Clara Pauline married and moved to San Ildefonso. Her pottery utilizes the same firing techniques but typically the imagery is more classic San Ildefonso in style.
