Madeline Naranjo

Madeline Naranjo began making pottery in the mid-1930s. She was the mother of Frances Siow, Joseph Naranjo, and Fidel Naranjo. She was the grandmother of Madeline E. Naranjo. She was known for her deep carved pottery and highly polished surfaces. She won awards throughout the 1980s at Santa Fe Indian Market. Her pottery is in the Heard Museum’s permanent collection and the Museum of Indian Art and Culture. Her pottery remains a testament to her creativity.
