Original price was: $ 475.00.Current price is: $ 375.00.

Martina Aguino began making pottery in the late 1930s period.  By the late 1960s through the 1970s she continued to make pottery with her son, Diego Aguino. She would make the vessel and he would create the designs.  This jar has intricately incised designs and striking coloration.  The jar is fully polished tan on the top and bottom. The incised designs are inspired by the ancient Potsuwi’i pottery of the San Juan area along with the earlier revival styles of the 1930s.  There is a rain pattern around the shoulder along with mountain designs near the base.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  The jar is signed, “Diego and Martina Aguino”.  A beautiful coloration and complex design!
