Seferina Bell has long been considered one of the great Zia potters of the 20th century.  This is a small but classic jar of her pottery.  There are rain and cloud designs which encircle the piece.  The cloud patterns are slipped with a red clay in contrast to the cream and black colorations.  There is a beautiful patina to the surface of this jar.  It is signed on the bottom with a bell, which was her hallmark.  Overall it is in good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is certainly a classic of her smaller work in design and form.
