Blue Corn is often best known for her polychrome pottery and her creative use of various clay slips on her pottery. She learned to make pottery from Maria Martinez at San Ildefonso.  This smaller bowl has five different colors of clay!  The base is polished and the remainder is matte. The rim is a cloud design while the red is a mountain pattern.  While a simple design, it is complex in coloration.  The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay “Blue Corn, San Ildefonso”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
