This is a classic polychrome bowl by Blue Corn.  Blue Corn began by making black-on-black pottery but it is her polychrome pottery for which she is the most famous.  This bowl is polished with a white clay slip and then painted.  It has a rain and cloud pattern design encircling the piece in six sections.  The clouds are the triangles slipped with ochre colored clay.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Blue Corn”.  It was originally purchased in the 1970s.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
