WOW!  This is a spectacular tall jar by Autumn Borts-Medlock.  She is known for her often fancifully carved pottery. This tall jar is coil-built and fully carved.  The jar is entitled, “Pollenatords, honey makers, and mosquito eaters”.   The rim and vase of the jar have carved cloud designs.  The entire surface of the jar is fully carved with dragonflies, bees, and butterflies.  Each of the insects is different in design.  Most have an additional white clay slip used to accentuate the designs.  The tan matte areas are unpolished.  It is exceptional in size, design, color, and complexity!   It is signed, “Autumn Borts-Medlock”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
