This is a complex carved jar by Linda Cain. The jar has straight sides and it is a fully carved vessel.  The rim has arrows, and near the base are carved stars.  Around the center are carved horses.  She has them in a variety of positions as if they are in motion.  The jar is traditionally fired to a deep black coloration. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Linda Cain”.  The jar is from 1995 and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
