Stacey “Road Runner” Calabaza is the youngest son of noted potter Blue Corn.  This bowl is coil built, stone polished and traditionally fired black.  It is very highly polished and painted with a feather pattern.  Below the shoulder are two tadpoles.  While Stacey no longer makes pottery, her work is delicate and beautifully polished.  The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Road Runner”.    It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
