$ 900.00
Hubert Candelario is one of the few potters working at San Felipe Pueblo. This is a small version of his classic “Holey seepdot”. The piece is oval in shape and all the circles are cut into the clay. Note they are in various sizes! The surface is slipped with mica. It is the micaceous clay that gives the pieces their coloration and sparkle. He applies five or more layers of micaceous clay to create an even tonality to the surface. The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Hubert Candelario”.
