$ 150.00

Rose Cata Pacheco (1931-2000) is not to be confused with Rosita Cata (1911-2008).  They are both from San Juan (Okhay Owingeh Pueblo) and created similar styles of pottery.  Rose Cata was a daughter of Marcus and Neatoria Cata.  This bowl is from the 1960s and it is coil -built and has a polished rim and base.  The central band is incised with cloud and rain designs and highlighted with red and white clay slips. It is a complex series of designs on the bowl.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Rose Cata”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
