Denise Chavarria (b. 1959) is a daughter of noted potter Stella Chavarria and a granddaughter of Teresita Naranjo.  Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired.  This bowl has 10 ribs swirling up from the base that break into 14 at the rim!  The bowl is highly polished and fired a deep black.  It is signed on the bottom, “Denise Chavarria”.
