Alicia Kelsey Chino (b. 1979) s a daughter of noted potter Darla Davis and a granddaughter of Rachel JWhite.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  She is known for her traditional style designs.  This seedpot is coil built. The piece is fully painted on the top and bottom.  It has a flower on the top.  The remainder of the designs is meant to represent a basket with the flower in the center.  The design continues onto the bottom of the piece.  It creates an op-art-inspired and dynamic appearance!   The piece is signed on the bottom, “A. Chino”.
