Chino, Alicia Kelsey – Bowl with Spiraling Flower Design
Alicia Kelsey Chino (b. 1979) s a daughter of noted potter Darla Davis and a granddaughter of Rachel JWhite. She learned to make pottery from her mother. She is known for her traditional style designs. This bowl is coil built. It is painted with spiraling flower design made up of small triangles. It’s easiest to see the designs from the top. There is one spiraling band which is painted with red clay. The design extends from the rim to the base. It is signed on the bottom, “A. Chino”.
