Alicia Kelsey Chino (b. 1979) s a daughter of noted potter Darla Davis and a granddaughter of Rachel JWhite.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  She is known for her traditional style designs.  This large seedpot is coil built and painted before firing. The piece is square in shape with a flat top.  The top has a fine-line star pattern.  Surrounding the piece is a geometric corn design that extends from the top to the bottom.  it is a complex design that matches the shape of the vessel.  It is signed on the bottom, “A. Chino”.
