$ 900.00

This is an intricately painted seed bowl by Rose Chino Garcia. She was a daughter of noted potter Marie Z. Chino. This piece has a wide shoulder and a nearly flat top.  The top and sides are painted with interlocking stars.  Around the shoulder are eight heartline deer.  They are painted in her classic style.  The piece is painted with bee-weed (black) and the heartlines are a red clay slip. The bowl was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom, “Rose Chino”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  There is a second-place ribbon from the 1977 Santa Fe Indian Market.
