Chino, Rose – Fineline Bowl with Heartline Deer and Handle (1970’s)

7.25"w x 7"h

$ 750.00

This is an unusual bowl by Rose Chino. She was a daughter of noted potter Marie Z. Chino. This piece has a handle and it is fully painted.  There are fine-line interconnected stars on the side and top.  There are also four heartline deer on the bowl.  The piece is painted with bee-weed (black) and the heartlines are a red clay slip. The bowl was traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom, “Rose Chino”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  There are a few small areas of spalling, which is typical for pieces from this period.
