Chino, Vera – Jar with Birds and Rainbow (1970’s)

6.25"w x 4.5"h

$ 200.00

Vera Chino is the youngest daughter of noted potter Marie Z. Chino.  She made pieces in the late 1970s and often in collaboration with her mother.  Marie would make the pieces and Vera would paint them.  The jar is a wide shape with a slightly indented shoulder.  The jar has birds on two sides with a rainbow over them.  There are three different colors of clay slip as the design.  Separating the birds are rain patterns. It is in very condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “V. Chino”.
