6.75"w x 8.75"h

$ 975.00

Randall (Randy) Chitto (Choctaw) studied pottery beginning in 1980 at The Institue of American Indian Arts in Satna Fe under the instruction of Otellie Loloma.  He created his distinctive style of storyteller and figurative pottery.  This is one of his classic turtle storytellers. The turtle is holding a bowl. There are six smaller turtles.  The backs of each of the smaller turtles have designs etched into their shells.  The piece was fired a deep black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
