Debbie Clashin has become one of the exciting leaders in Hopi-Tewa pottery over the past several years.  She is known for her large-sized traditional fired vessels.  This large jar is a wide shape and a flat top.  It is painted with four birds or eagles, which glide across the top of the jar and then extend over the sides.  Note the very thin lines used for the painted design.  The jar is traditionally fired with blushes across the surface of the jar and a few little darker areas.   It is signed on the bottom with her name and a pipe for his “Tobacco Clan”.It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
