Carolyn Concho is well known for her beautifully painted pottery using Mimbres animals, reptiles, and insects.  This plate has a hummingbird with raised wings in the center.  There is a raised relief lady bug to the side. The remainder is tightly painted with thin lines and geometrics.  All the different colors are from natural clay slips.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “C. Concho”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
