This is a new, larger clay bear by Dolores Curran. It combines polished, etched, matte, and micaceous surfaces. The front half of the bear is fully polished white the back half is matte and incised. The polished front half has a painted sun and heartline. On the very front there are red painted prayer feathers and a dragonfly. The back is incised with a sun and two large flowers. There is an incised sun on the back in red. The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dolores Curran”.

This is a new, larger clay bear by Dolores Curran. It combines polished, etched, matte, and micaceous surfaces. The sides have polished and incised heartlines. The back has an incised dragonfly and feather bundle. The feathers are incised into the clay and painted with red and white clay. The head of the bear is also slipped red and has an incised heartline. Note the kiva step cut away at the feet on the sides, and an incised kiva step design that is polished on the front and back. The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dolores Curran”.
