The painting on this jar by Dolores Curran is very complex for its size.  The entire piece is fully polished red and then it is painted.  It was then fired black. The jar has two different Pueblo birds as the design.  They are separated by flowers.  There are additional feather designs around the rim of the jar. It was traditionally fired black and has a glossy surface from the stone polishing. The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dolores Curran”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
