Dewakuku, Verla – Red Wide Shoulder Jar

Verla Dewakuku (b. 1932) began making pottery in the 1970s.  Each piece is coil built and made from the red Hopi clay.  The jar has a side shoulder and a short neck.  It is fully polished.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “V. Dewakuku”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
