$ 1,075.00

Carlos Dunlap was a son of Carmelita Dunlap and a grandson of Juanita Montoya Vigil, the youngest sister of Maria Martinez.  He was a brother to Jeannie Dunlap, Cynthia Dunlap, Linda Dunlap, and Martha Appleaf Fender.   This is a classic black-on-black water jar. The jar extends upward to a sharp shoulder and an elongated neck.  Around the top of the shoulder is a flower design. Around the sides are classic San Ildefonso rain, cloud, and sun patterns.  Carlos was creative in his style of painting and especially how he created designs to accentuate the form.  This jar is fired a dark black coloration.  It is signed, “Carlos Sunrise Dunlap” in the clay on the bottom.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  A striking and classic piece of his pottery.
