Fender, Erik – Blue-on-Black Bowl with Fish Design

3"w x 3"h

$ 255.00

Erik Fender is the son of Martha Appleleaf and the grandson of noted potter Carmelita Dunlap. Erik combines classic San Ildefonso imagery with his own creative style.  This is a small bowl that is painted blue-on-black.  The piece is fired black and then two-toned so the painted blue clay slip is revealed. The bowl has fish and cloud imagery.  His pottery is signed on the bottom with his Tewa name, “Than Tsideh”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
