Kaa Folwell is one of the exciting young potters working today. This is an exceptional piece of her pottery.  The round jar is fully polished to a high shine. There are two avanyu encircling the jar. One has a Santa Clara style horn and the other a San Ildefonso style.  They are etched into the clay and then painted with a matte clay slip. There are the Folwell family “x’s” placed around the jar as well. The piece is a striking combination of shape, polish and design. We are excited to see more from this young potter!
