Kaa Folwell is one of the exciting young potters working today. This jar was made by her mother, Polly Rose Folwell.  It is a tall shape with a lightning step rim.  The jar is designed by Kaa.  It is a sgraffito and incised design of graffiti-style lighting designs.  The designs are etched into the clay at various levels.  The imagery is then highlighted with additional read and brown clay slips.  There are areas with the Folwell family “x’s” as part of the design. It is a striking balance of color, form, and design. The jar is from 2015. It is signed, “Kaa & Polly Rose”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks restoration or repair.
