Susan Folwell continues to combine classic imagery with her own contemporary style of shape and design. This jar is fully polished and fired tan.  The coloration from the firing has crated the blushes on the surface.  The bottom of the jar is fully etched with a water design.  Around the shoulder, she has four shells as the design.  They are raised from the surface and each is a different color.  There are etched wave designs below them. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Susan Folwell”.  It is from 1997.  The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
