Jerusita Shije Gachupin (1933 – ?) was a daughter of Isadora Shije.  This is one of the only pieces of her work that we have had in the gallery. However, the vessel itself is beautifully constructed.  It is coil built and there is a flat top and the bottom has an edge where the polished red begins.  The top has a spiraling cloud pattern with rain clouds painted around the shoulder.  The bowl was traditionally fired.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom, “J. S.  Gachupin”.
