This bowl by Gloria Garcia is fully polished and fired black. The design is a series of birds encircling the piece.  There are a variety of birds from quail to pheasants. They are standing, walking, running and flying.  It is a charming design and highlighted in areas with a red clay slip.  Gloria’s combination of polishing and etched designs is always striking.  This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.
