9"w x 6.5"h

$ 900.00

This tile by Jason Garica is part of his Corn Maiden series which features young women in traditional dress for the Corn Dance and placing them in a modern context.  This tile has a young Corn Maiden holding a lollipop in her hand. He has created an image both innocent and seductive.  Note the detail in the tablita on her head!   In the background is the kiva ladder and a traditional raincloud.  His piece is signed with his Tewa name, Okuu Pin, which means Turtle Mountain.  This tile is hand built from native clay.  All of the colors are derived from Native clay.
