This tall three-sided jar by Tammy Garcia is from 1999.  It is coil-built, carved, and stone polished.  The jar has an asymmetric rim and three sides.  Each is carved with a different frog.  In her book, it was said of this piece:

“A scooped opening and triangulated form give this vessel a dynamic energy that is indicative of Garcia’s more innovative forms.  The design is confined to rectangular blocks of relief, forcing the frog’s arms and legs to curl in upon themselves”.

The frogs are deeply carved into the clay and highly polished.  Each frog is different in design and style.  The surrounding area is also fully polished.  It is a striking use of form and designs.  The jar is featured in “Tammy Garia: Form Without Boundaries” on p. 120.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Tammy Garcia’.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
