Gonzales, Robert – Black and Sienna Terrace Bowl with Turquoise and Coral (1980s)

Robert Gonzales is a son of Lorenzo Gonzales and a brother of John Gonzales and Marie Gonzales.  He is married to Barbara Gonzales.  This is one of the few pieces of his work we have had in the gallery.  It is terrace bowl and the outside is fully polished.  The shape of the bowl is very traditional and the carved edge represents mountains (or a terrace).  It is etched with a bear on the front and a bear paw on the side.  The inside of the bowl is matte. The designs were two-toned sienna.  They are inset with coral and turquoise. It is signed in the clay on the bottom”RG”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
