Eleanor Pino Griego learned to make pottery from her grandmother Ascencion Galvan Pino and her mother, Laura Pino. Her sister Ruby Panana also makes traditional Zia pottery. This jar is from 2008. It has flower motifs on both sides, along with birds. There are both polished and painted sections. The handles are in the shape of clouds. The canteen won a blue ribbon at the 2008 Santa Fe Indian Market. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Eleanor Pino Griego”. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
