Denny Gutierrez was known for his faceted melon bowls.  This piece has a narrow base and a flat top.  The area below the shoulder is fully polished.  Along the top, there are 18 rounded melon ribs.  They each come to a subtle point and are rounded out and perfectly reflect the light.  The piece is polished to a glossy shine.  It is from 1991.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Denny Gutierrez”.
