Denny Gutierrez was known for his faceted melon bowls.  However, he also created exceptional painted vessels. This large bowl is fully polished and painted with very tightly painted feathers.  There are 48 feathers encircling the bowl.  Note how they are painted at a slight angle.  The are small  The bowl is polished to a glossy shine.  It is from 1987.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Denny Gutierrez”.
