Denny Gutierrez was known for his faceted melon bowl. This wide shoulder bowl has 18 ribs extending from the rim to the base.  They are straight ribs and evenly spaced.  The ridge separating each of the facets is sharp creating a clear delineation of each rib.  It was very difficult to photograph to capture the subtle strength of the bowl with such a highly polished surface.  It is from 1994.  It is very highly polished and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Denny Gutierrez”.
