Julie Gutierrez (b. 1965) began making pottery in 1977.  She is a daughter of Victoria Gutierrez and a granddaughter of Faustina Gutierrez.  She is a sister of Effie Garcia and Sally M. Gutierrez.  Her brother was Eugene Gutierrez.  This bowl was coil-built, stone polished, and fired a glassy black.  It is etched with four flowers as the design.  Each flower is inset with a small piece of turquoise.  There is a feather pattern around the rim of the bowl.  It is  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  It is signed, “Julie Gutierrez”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
