Kathy Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez and a sister of Geraldine Gutierrez, Carol, and Rose Gutierrez.  This jar has a wide shoulder and it is fully polished.  It is painted around the shoulder with 32 tightly painted feathers.  The jar is fired a deep black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Kathy N. Gutierrez”.
