Kathy Gutierrez is a daughter of noted potter Helen Gutierrez and a sister of Geraldine Gutierrez, Carol, and Rose Gutierrez.  This is a classic double shoulder water jar.  It is highly polished and a graceful shape.  Around the shoulder are painted plant designs.  The jar is fired a deep black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Kathy N. Gutierrez”.
