WOW! This is an exceptional clay bear figure by Art Cody Haungooah. We have had several of his bears over the years, but few have been this complicated and inset with stones! The bear is polished matte (the natural color of the clay). It has his classic sculpted form. The back is inset with two bands of hei-shi beads, along with a piece of mother-of-pearl and turquoise. The inside of the bear’s legs are matte red. There is a band of shell hei-shi beads along the edge of the legs. There are large inset pieces of coral for the eyes. The bear is signed under the neck “Art Haungooah”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
