These are two pieces of Hopi pottery by Lorenda Shula and Patricia Honie.  Patricia Honie was from the Hopi village of Sichomovi at First Mesa.  She was a sister of noted potter Juanita Healing.  Patricio began making pottery around 1960 and continued through 1987.  This small bowl is coil-built and painted with bee-weed.  It has plant and rain designs along with cloud swirls. The bowl was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface. It is signed on the bottom “Patricia Honie”.  It is in good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  The jar is by Lorenda Shula and is was made in 2007.  The jar is made from red Hopi clay and painted with bee-weed and traditionally fired.  The jar has rain and lightning designs.  It is signed, “Lorenda Shula”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
