Rose Leno (b. 1943) is a great-granddaughter of Eulilia Vallo, a granddaughter of Lupita Vallo, and a daughter of Juana Leno.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  This wedding vase is coil built and painted with bee-weed and red clay.  The wedding vase has the classic shape of Juana’s pottery with the low shoulder and spouts extending from the neck.  The piece is painted with a large Acoma eagle on one side.  The opposite side has rain and cloud designs. The wedding vase is signed, “RL”.
