Rose Leno (b. 1943) is a great-granddaughter of Eulilia Vallo, a granddaughter of Lupita Vallo, and a daughter of Juana Leno.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  This wedding vase is coil built and painted with bee-weed and red clay.  The wedding vase has the classic shape of Juana’s pottery with the low shoulder and spouts extending from the neck.  The piece is painted with flowers around the necks and a plant, rain, and rainbow design below the shoulder.  One of the spouts is formed in the shape of a bird head. The wedding vase is signed, “RL”.
