Charles Lewis is a grandson of Toni Roller and a son of Susan Roller.  He is a great-grandson of Margaret Tafoya.  While he no longer makes pottery, his pieces from the late 1990s were beautifully made, carved, and polished. This bowl is deeply carved with classic cloud, rain, and lightning designs.  There are different designs as the bowl is turned.  The piece is very highly polished and traditionally fired.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Charles Lewis” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
