Dolores Lewis is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis. Dolores is known for use of classic Acoma and Mimbres designs in her pottery. This is a bowl has an open shape and the outside is fully painted with design. There is a classic Tularosa swirl pattern along with rain clouds. This is one of the few we have had with this classic design by Dolores. The rim of the bowl has small dots. The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dolores Lewis” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. While Dolores makes little pottery today, work remains some of the classic traditional pottery of Acoma pueblo.
