Dolores Lewis is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis.  Dolores is known for use of classic Acoma and Mimbres designs in her pottery.  This is a classic miniature bowl. The piece is coil-built and painted with bee-weed (black). The bowl has four Mimbres-inspired flute players as the design.  It is signed on the bottom, “D. Lewis”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. The piece was traditionally fired so there are color variations on the surface.
