Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis. This is a classic, thin-walled bowl that is coil-built and painted with bee-weed. The bowl has a round shape. There are Mimbres bees along with flowers. It is a charming design used on the piece. It is signed, “Emma Lewis”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Emma Lewis-Mitchell is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis. Her sisters, Dolores and Carmel, are also well known potters. Emma is known for her use of classic shapes and tightly painted designs. Emma has won numerous awards for her pottery and continues the legacy of her mother's traditional imagery on her pottery.
